Your UNHCR Chairs
Hello! My name is Anke Freuwört and I work as a research assistant at the University of Kassel in Germany. I have started my PhD in migration studies and political education. Besides that, I am a board member of the United Nations Youth Association in Germany. Since I had my first MUN experience in 2014 I literally stuck in international conferences and I am excited for every new one to come. As I had the chance to chair in the Netherlands, Germany, Turkey, France and Serbia, I like to take MUN’s as an opportunity to travel and explore the world from a different angle.
Diego Sánchez is a second year-Law student focusing on International and European Law at Universitat Abat Oliba CEU in Barcelona. An insight to his MUN background includes debating and chairing across international and national conferences held in Latin America since 2013. When not debating, he enjoys reading and loves watching comedy films or playing action videogames.
As a Chair for UNHCR, he envisions a purposeful, engaged discussion with intense negotiations and feasible solutions. Nevertheless, he hopes you enjoy of a rewarding and unforgettable experience whilst addressing the highly controversial and needy question of the status and protection of refugees.
